                                                             What do I need for a roadworthy in QLD?  

​

       All you need is to Book with Rivercity Roadworthys Online.  Your Vehicle should be on a flat hard surface with adequate space to inspect and be tidy inside for checking seats and seat belts.  Your vehicle does not have to be registered as I have a Trade Plate for road testing and completing the mandatory brake test. If a flat surface or adequate space cannot be provided, a close side street or similar can be used as long as it is safe to do so. 

       If you live in apartment buildings, please use a visitor's carpark or loading dock. This speeds up the process and provides an efficient experience. Most basement carparks are limited for the internet which is needed to supply your Roadworthy Safety Certificate.                                                           How long does a mobile roadworthy take?

​

      It depends.  I aim for around 40 mins for newer vehicles, and it can take up to 1 hour - 1.5 hrs for older vehicles. It will come down to the vehicle condition and where the vehicle is located for the inspection. Generally, 40 mins - 1 hr is what you should plan for. 

      Please note: You do not have to present for the Inspection. 

      ​What can fail a QLD roadworthy?

​

      Silly things that fail a QLD Roadworthy are Tyres that have not got at least 1.5mm of tread across the tyre tread width, Tyres with damaged sidewalls, Light globes not working, Air Bag warning lights, oil leaks, seat belts - especially rear seat belts damaged from car seats and being

      trapped in rear fold down seat latches

     If your vehicle fails its initial inspection, you have 14 days to rectify the works to be able to pass your inspection. In most cases, they are minor defects which I will accept photo, video or professional mechanical invoices. but if the defect is major, are inspection will be required at a cost of $65 inc gst

​Do you service all areas of Brisbane and Redlands?

  YES.

      All suburbs listed as Brisbane or Redlands Suburbs are serviced.  You should check that your suburb is listed at the bottom of the BOOK HERE page on this Website to make sure. Outside area bookings are cancelled and charged an administration fee with the balance of the

      booking refunded. 

​Can I get a same-day roadworthy?

​

      YES.   

     Providing I have not exceeded the daily limit of Inspections.  You should call 0409 870 059 and check my availability. I will book with you over the phone and accept a card payment on the day.  There will be an additional $20 fee on top of the regular booking fee.  If I cannot do your Roadworthy on the same day, I will direct you to Online Booking
