All you need to do is:
Mobile Roadworthy Safety Certificate Brisbane or Redlands
1 - Click on the Book Here tab
2 - Scroll down and select the inspection type that suits your needs
3 - Check the calendar for the next availability or choose a day and time that suits you
4 - Select the appropriate payment rate (Mon - Fri, Weekend or Public Holiday)
5 - Enter in your details (This helps streamline the process for both of us, filling out the form correctly and entirely is essential)
Your Mobile Roadworthy can be carried out virtually any place as long as it is safe to do so and the vehicle or trailer being inspected is on flat, solid ground.
6 - Read the Cancellation, Refund and Terms of Service Policy and make sure you have checked that your inspection is in a Brisbane or Redlands Suburb.
I do not service: Logan, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay, Beaudesert or Caboolture areas. Only add to cart if you plan on making multiple bookings. Singular bookings please press the Book Now button after entering your details and viewing the Policy. The policy can be found in the Menu area of the Website.
7 - Pay for your appointment
(This shows your commitment to the booking). I have gone this way as I have had many issues with phone bookings and
Customers calling around and getting their Roadworthy done earlier and not letting me know. This costs my Business time and money, so I have decided to make online booking payments mandatory for all Customers. Payments are made via a secured gateway through Square or you can choose to pay with Paypal or Afterpay.
- Once you have paid for your Inspection, you will receive a confirmation email and an instructions email sent to your provided email address.

8 - Have your vehicle or trailer ready for inspection on the day. The vehicle should be on a flat, solid surface (grass and dirt is not accepted), be clean on
the inside (for checking seat belts and seat condition) and have a good working battery and fuel (if applicable) Unregistered Vehicles make sure you remove your old number plates as well
9 - Call and leave a message or Email me if your situation changes and we can work something out.
* If you need your Mobile Roadworthy Safety Certificate on the same day, Please call me on 0409 870 059. I may be able to help depending on availability. This will also attract an additional fee of $20 inc gst
You will need a Roadworthy Safety Certificate in Queensland for the following:
1 - You are selling an existing registered vehicle, motorcycle, scooter, trailer, caravan or camper to another person
2 - You are transferring a registration from another state to Queensland
3 - You are registering an unregistered vehicle, motorcycle, scooter, trailer caravan or camper
All Roadworthys are priced by charging the Prescribed Fee set by the Queensland Transport Department, plus an additional Mobile Service fee. (The Prescribed Fee is a set fee if you were to take your vehicle to a workshop to have your Roadworthy done yourself).
(Please note that the Government set prescribed fee for a Roadworthy Inspection in QLD for light vehicles is now $99.35 inc , Motorcycles $63.85 inc and Trailers $49.75 inc as of July 2025)
Rivercity Roadworthys price includes a mobile fee to come to you along with the prescribed fee inc gst which varies depending on the Roadworthy booked and the day. For example, it is more expensive on a weekend or a public holiday as opposed to through the week.

- Cars & all Light Vehicle Inspections:
* Vehicles built after Jan 2025 - Current are from $110 inc gst and can take up to 40mins to inspect inc paperwork.
* Vehicles built after Jan 2020 - Dec 2024 are from $120 inc gst and can take up to 45 mins to inspect inc paperwork.
* Vehicles built between Jan 2015 and December 2019 are from $130 inc gst and can take up to 1hr and 15 mins to inspect inc paperwork.
* Vehicles built between Jan 2009 and Dec 2014 are from $140 inc gst and can take up to 1hr and 15 mins to inspect inc paperwork.
* Vehicles built between Jan 2000 and Dec 2008 are from $150 inc gst and can take up to 1.5 hours to inspect inc paperwork.
* Vehicles built before 2000 are from $160 inc gst and can take up to 1.5 - 2hrs hours to inspect depending on vehicle condition and year inc paperwork.
(Actual Inspection time is relevant to your vehicle condition)
If in any case, your first inspection takes longer, you will not be charged any more than the fee paid at the time of booking.
- Uber COI Inspections are from $120 inc gst
- Police Defective clearances are from $120 inc gst
- Motorcycles, Trikes and Sidecar Inspections are from $110 inc gst.
- Scooters and Mopeds are from $100 inc gst
- All light Trailers such as boat, car and box trailers are from $100 inc gst
- All Caravans and Horse Floats are from $120 inc gst
- All Camper Trailers are from $110 inc gst
- All HVRAS Measure ups are from $85 inc gst
- All Trailer Roadworthys booked inc Caravans, Floats etc WITH a HVRAS measure up are from $165 inc gst
- Re Inspections after repairs for cars and light vehicles are $66 inc gst (if required or applicable) In most cases, photo,video or repair invoices are accepted via email.
- Re Inspections after repairs for Motorcycles and Scooters are $55 inc gst (if required or applicable) In most cases, photo,video or repair invoices are accepted via email
- Re Inspections after repairs for Caravans, Campers and all Trailers are $55 inc gst (if required or applicable) In most cases, photo,video or repair invoices are accepted via email
- Pre Purchase Inspections start from $349.95inc gst
The prices shown are fixed prices for Brisbane and Redlands Suburbs.
All prices shown include the prescribed fee, the mobile fee and gst.
Weekends and Public Holidays are extra
Cancellations are acknowledged during Business Hours only.

Same day Inspections are an additional $20 inc gst and are accepted via phone booking

Generally, availability is within a day but sometimes on the same day.

A Certificate of Inspection (COI) for light vehicles is for the following:
1 - You are transferring a vehicle from a Company to a private entity
2 - Your vehicle is used for booked hire such as Uber or Didi (you will need a COI annually)
3 - Your vehicle is a Taxi
4 - Your vehicle is a Limousine
A Certificate of Inspection (COI) is a different document to a Roadworthy (RWC)
It will display a "CL" prefix on the document compared to a "LV" on a Roadworthy Certificate

We do HVRAS measure ups for:
- All trailers in Queensland that have been unregistered for more than 3 months
- Interstate transfers of registration on trailers to Queensland
- Specialized trailers
- Prime movers
- Semi Trailers
You can book a HVRAS measure up on its own or you can click the "Mobile trailer RWC with HVRAS" button on the book here page.
The objective of the HVRAS is to provide people with accreditation to inspect heavy vehicles (more than 4.5 tonne gross vehicle mass) and trailers (more than 750 aggregate trailer mass) to ensure they comply with:
dimensional limitations
approved load sharing axle systems guidelines
safe tyre limits
vehicle identifiers (for example: engine number, vehicle identification number and chassis number).
Imported vehicles that have not been previously registered in Australia cannot be inspected and measured by HVRAS accredited persons. These imported vehicles must be sighted by the Department of Transport and Main Roads for verification with the vehicle import documents.
You will require a HVRAS if:
1 - Your trailer / caravan has been unregistered in Queensland for more than 3 months
2 - Your trailer / caravan is to have its registration transferred from another state or territory.

1 - Have your vehicle inspected by Rivercity Roadworthys
If your Vehicle fails its initial Inspection:
1 - Have the necessary repairs carried out
2 - Submit yuour repair evidence to info@rivercityroadworthys.com along with your Rego Number and current speedo reading.
3 - Wait for your pass certificate to be emailed to you. (it usually takes 30 mins after evidence of repairs have been sucsefully submitted)
4 - Follow the next steps:
With you Passed Safety Certificate:
1 - Email: transactions.parkes@service.nsw.gov.au
2 - In the SUBJECT LINE: Put your full name and registration number
3 - In the BODY : Put your best contact phone number and upload your QLD Roadworthy / Safety Certificate
(Tip: Make sure the Green slip is paid for if applicable before you send this information)
4 - A Representative from Services NSW will call you in 3 - 6 days to sort out everything over the phone.
